About 20 years ago, my family and I were on holiday near Schull. A neighbour told me that two ladies were coming from Dublin to take part in a children’s Bible club. Having explained that it was about the Bible, she asked me if I would leave the children to go along.
My husband had recently died and I was recovering after being very ill. It felt right that I should go. I went alone. I enjoyed the stories at the Bible club and found it to be an encouraging experience. I went to some Bible based meetings.
A few years later I was at a Faith Mission Bible convention near Bandon. It was there that I came to appreciate Jesus’ love for me, and my need to come to know Him for myself. I stood after the meeting and asked Jesus to be my Redeemer.
It was wonderful to come to know Jesus as my Saviour and to know that I have eternal life. He has given me a power to live, which I had never known before. It has also been great to see what He has done for my family.
If you do not know Jesus yourself, I would hope and pray that you would come to know Him.
