From early childhood I knew God’s love for me. Both my parents knew the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour, but sadly when I was six years old my dad died after a short illness. I understood that he had gone to heaven to be with his Saviour. During that time I became envious and concerned because I had no such assurance of eternal life. I came to realise that I needed Jesus in my life. So one night I prayed and asked Him to come into my life and take away my sin, and make me fit for heaven. I knew that He could do all this because he had died on the Cross and had taken all the punishment which I deserved.
Revelation 3 verse 20 says “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. I am so thankful that He did come into my life and that by His grace I have grown in my relationship with Him. Over the years, through every circumstance, He has proven to be so faithful, a real friend and Saviour. I can recommend Him to you.
